I still remember, the early morning trip from Bukit Betong to Kuala Lipis. In those days, 1960s, trains were still operating using the steam power. You can feel the refreshing warm steam in your face as the locomotive started to mobe toward Kuala Lipis.
I always wonder how the train, especially its head can turn around. This is how it did.
This video shows how a typical people from Kuala Lipis speaks. I thought I had forgotten how to speak he dialects, but I was wrong. Put me among them, within no time, I will speak like them.
The dialect has some words unknown to peoples from other districts..
Some of the words that I can pick are:
1. deme - you - plural
2. Ranjas - the fruits were dropped by ... . Rengas means an act performed without and care.
3. Selayut - scare crow..
In sadness we were informed of the demise of Cik Gu Mariani.

The modern children are amazed of what we played when we were young. There was no toys, no TV, no internets. They ask, ... " what do you do"
